During the Fantasy Fling Podcast, our guest this week said it best, @TheextrapointFF "I feel like most people play DFS once they're out of the playoffs." While I would argue that you should always play DFS, it's true that most people get that itch when their season long dogs are out of the race.

DFS is your way to still have a dog in the fight, and we have many Dogs for you to bet on this week:

This will be a week of not overthinking it and squeezing as many Running Backs into my lineups as possible. To do so, I'll be looking to pay down at QB and TE, and load up on value WR's in the 4K-6500 range.

Quarterbacks:

Patrick Mahomes - $7900

a 52.5 Game total and 27 point team total is what makes Mahomes intriguing. Honestly I'm not going here in cash, but you have to consider him in tournaments. He'll need 35 points to pay off though and the expensive stack options of Kelce/Hill make it difficult. I'm more inclined to play Brees and bring it back with kelce/hill.

Jalen Hurts - $5900

Hurts is my favorite paydown option this week that will make it possible to afford the Combination of Henry and Kamara in my lineups. I'm always hesitant to play a rookie QB in cash until I see how they plan to utilize him, but Hurts rushing 18 times for 106 yards was all I needed to see. He did that much vs the elite defense of the Saints and with the floor that his rushing brings, I just really like this play this week. He could smash at $5900.

Other QB'S: Brees, Murray, Jackson.

Running Backs:

This group has me so excited this week. Henry, Kamara, Taylor, Akers. I wish I could play all 4 of them in the same lineup.

Derrick Henry - $9500

He's facing the 2nd worst run D in the league and the Titans are 10+ point favorites with Stafford out for the Lions. He should be fed early, often, and he should eat. I'd also like to add that he needs to average 156 yards per game for the final 3 games to rush for 2,000 yards and obviously any NFL Back wants to be in that exclusive 2,000 yard club.

Alvin Kamara - $7400

Ok Brees is back, Michael Thomas is out, and Draft Kings set his price well before this news came out. Kamara is your $9500 back that you're paying $7400 for. Set it and forget it.

Jonathan Taylor - $7200

Taylor got 22 carries last week and totally smashed with 30.5 points. This week his salary is higher but his carries have gone up every week and he's facing the texans team that he already gashed for 91 yards on only 13 carries earlier this year. Taylor's 65% of team carries is what we want to see to be able to trust him to have the kind of floor we need in cash games.

Cam Akers - $6600

Cam Akers got 29 touches last week which was even more than the 21 he got the prior week before. The only issue we had with Cam Akers all year was a lack of consistency with the number of touches he gets. Well the genie is out of the bottle and you aren't putting him back in. As long as he gets 20+ carries, he's a lock in your cash lineups. With the Rams being over two score favorites, Cam Akers should eat early and often.

Leonard Fournette - ****$4500 DIVE PLAY****

Rojo is out and Fournette is expected to start at only $4500. He'll be chalk and cheap as it comes for RB's this week so it won't hurt you even if he doesn't smash.

Other Backs: Miles Sanders, Dalvin Cook, Miles Sanders, David Montgomery.

Wide Receivers:

There's really no Elite WR's that are in smash spots to the point that I'd rather pay up for one as opposed to these backs. I can see fading Henry in some lineups to get Kamara/Taylor/Akers in and a Deandre, but I'll be more heavy on guys like Aiyuk and Emmanuel Sanders.

Tyreek Hill - $8800

He smashes almost every week and this game can shootout, so Hill has to be a consideration... definitely in tournaments.

Deandre Hopkins - $7900

He's facing the eagles without Slay. They have no answer for Hopkins so having exposure to him is going to be a must. I might not have him in many cash lineups, but I'll definitely have him in some tournament lineups with what should be low ownership.

Brandon Aiyuk - $6300

He's my favorite play this week because he is seeing so many targets, (16 last week) he's had 5 weeks of 20 or more points in his last 5 games, and there is nobody else really to throw to. Oh, and he's only $6300. Play him now because he'll be more expensive next week.

Emmanuel Sanders ****$4200 DIVE PLAY****

Michael Thomas is out and when Brees was the QB and Thomas was out early in the season, Sanders saw 26%+ target share after he got comfortable in the offense. At $4200, he should smash at his salary.

Lynn Bowden JR. ****$3600 DIVE PLAY****

He had the highest snap percentage of any WR last week in Miami and a 20% target share. I like him again this week if Parker and Grant are out.

Other WR's:

Russell Gage, Christian Kirk, AJ Brown, Terry Mclaurin, Allen Robinson.

Tight Ends:

Kelce - $8000

Even at his high salary, he's an every week consideration to start whether in cash or tournaments. I like Kelce this week as a bring back option in Brees/Kamara/Sanders stacks.

Mark Andrews - $5500

My favorite Tight End pay up option this week with the Ravens losing multiple WR's to covid.

Irv Smith JR. - ****$3600 Dive Play****

I love him again this week if Rudolph can't go as the Bears elite corners funnel targets to the tight end.

Cole Kmet ****$3000 DIVE PLAY****

he had 85% of the snaps last week with a 21% target share and Jimmy might be out this week!

Defenses:

WFT $2600

They consistently have been top 5 in scoring that we break down on the podcast every week. I'm not liking any of the matchups below their price and I don't believe in paying over 3K on a defense.

Good luck in your DFS lineups this week and in your playoff matchups for those of you who are still in the hunt. Catch the Fantasy Fling Podcast this week for the Week 15 lineup review and the preview of the DFS Week 16 Main Slate on Draft Kings!
